Top 5 Books I read in 2019

I had intended on reading a book a week in 2019. I stuck with it for a few months. Then life did what life does and got in the way. I ended up only reading 21 books.

I read a lot of business books and quiet a few books that are by indie authors. To be in my top five books I had to rank the book 5 stars on my original review. These aren’t in any particular order.

This book was one that I picked up because I wanted to see what kind of writer the child of two writer’s is. The answer is amazing. The story was about people that burst into flames. I still think about how the fire was linked to their emotions and find the entire concept fascinating.

This was one of the children’s books I read this year. I vaguely remembered it from a school assignment when I was a kid but rereading it was a great experience. It was the reinvention of mundane items that’s stuck with me after reading the story.

This story made me cry a lot. That’s probably the best praise that I can give it. It got a grip on my heart.

I read this book because I watched the amazon series with David Tennant and Michael Sheen.  I loved both the book and the tv show and can’t recommend either of them highly enough.

This is the story about a missing woman. Her husband is the primary suspect. The more he tries to hide his guilt, the guiltier he looks. It’s a really well written work with a intricate plot that must have taken a long time to piece together. I enjoyed it immensely.
